2年生 英語「Time to learn phonics」

I started my class by greeting the students and asking them how they are doing. After they all said they were doing good, I wrote the pages we were working on that day on the board. Today we are finishing up a lesson on multiple words that have the phonetic O sound. For this lesson, we listened to and repeated a song before moving onto a written assignment. The majority of students did very well. The small number who made errors learned from their mistakes.

From here we moved onto a game, which is a modified version of the children’s game “telephone”. I split the class into 3 teams and wrote 10 vocabulary words on the board. I would whisper a word to a student in the front row and they’d have to pass the word down til it reaches the final member, who would walk up to the board and erase what they heard. We did a couple of rounds in teams before I extended it to the entire class. They really enjoyed it!
