３月１１日（木）　Today was a big day for the 3rd graders.  We have been working on their presentations, an activity where they gather information about a country that they must research as a team of about five students.  Each student in the team must get information about the country such as, its capital city, population, weather and temperature, and a famous place, such as a world heritage site.  The students must also make posters in connection to the information they found about their country.  This year there were 17 countries to choose from: Thailand, South Africa, New Zealand, Egypt United Kingdom, India, Russia, USA, Italy, France, Canada, Turkey, Brazil, Germany, Australia, Spain, and Mexico.  After gathering information about each country, the students then had to practice in front of the class talking about their chosen country in ENGLISH.  We have been practicing for a few weeks, and today the students gave their presentations in front of all the third-graders.  This was challenging for some students but everyone did such a great job, had lots of fun, and learned a lot about different parts of the world.
