５月２６日（水）　Today we began by reviewing vocabulary we studied the year before in the 3rd grade.  This was done to focus on pronunciation.  These were words that use double consonant letters（子音字） like “sp” or “sw”.  Pronunciation is important!  We then had a dictation quiz.  I thought some students might have some trouble with remembering the words but everyone did very well.  We then opened our Student Books to study grammar:
Q: Does he/she have a         ?
A: Yes, he/she does.  or  No, he/she doesn’t.
We made pairs to practice this, and the students did very well.
Finally, we did something new, a game called Battleship.  It’s a game I played when I was in elementary school.  The students made pairs and on a special paper tried to find the other students’ “ships”.  They did this while speaking in English, focusing on the days of the week.  It was very fun and the students enjoyed it.
