4年生 英語 What do you have?

5月19日(木) We had no time for dictation today.  Instead, we opened our Student Books to study some basic grammar: “What do you have?” “I have a □□□.”  We made pairs to practice this, and the students did very well.  We then opened our Word Books to study numbers.  One to ten, eleven to nineteen, twenty to one-hundred, one-thousand, and even one-million!  It was useful to many students to study large numbers, as some could not count past one-thousand.  But what was very important was learning the different pronunciation between 13 and 30, 14 and 40, 15 and 50….. and so on.  It is difficult for some students to hear the difference.  We then played Bingo!  The students had an opportunity to learn how to spell numbers in English, and it was a fun way to end the class.
